A Guide of quick facts to Serene Switzerland
Introduction
This is some information for traveling to Switzerland. A large majority of this information is dedicated to arriving in Switzerland.
Major cities and airports you can enter and exit into Switzerland from?
The biggest two airports for travelers to enter by air are Geneva and Zurich. Swiss is the national carrier and the only continent it does not reach are Antarctica and Oceania (a.k.a known as the continent Australia, which doesn't just include Australia as some might presume). On the other hand, if you are coming from another country bordering Switzerland then the Eurail (European Railways) is very convenient.
Switzerland: What is the Schengen area?
The Schengen area, in simple terms, are countries part of the EU but not members of the EU. You can travel freely through other EU countries, border free, as per other member states, but a country in the Schengen Area is not a member of the EU. These include countries like Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway.
Languages
Depending on which canton, there is a certain spoken language. A large majority of Switzerland is English speaking but it is helpful to know which are some of the main languages. German, French and Italian are the main languages that make up Switzerland.
